Summary: Census results are available for a range of some 800 variables including population by age, sex, migration, language, education, employment, participation rates or housing types. The census is designed to provide information about the demographic, social and economic characteristics of the Canadian population and about its housing units.   Release:

Census results are tabulated and then released for separate datasets in the months and years after the collection date. For example, Population and dwelling counts are usually available first and then other datasets are released.
