Travel Activities and Motivations Survey

Geography: Canada and USA   Frequency: conducted in 1999/2000, with updates in 2002, to be conducted 2005/2006
Summary:

Two comprehensive household surveys (one in the USA and one in Canada) to:

  • Identify a large number of existing and potential consumer markets for Ontario;

  • Measure the likelihood of these consumer markets being attracted to vacation experiences in Ontario that offer or might offer these kinds of products;

  • Create packaging opportunities for each of these markets;

  • Determine how to reach these markets (i.e. in terms of communication strategies);

  • Provide information on how to better fine-tune and target existing marketing campaigns.
  Release: 2005/2006 to be released by October 2006
      Format: Reports in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
