Once a community has analyzed its economy, decided on its objectives and developed a plan to achieve them, projects will likely be identified that will be implemented and managed locally. This section of REDDI brings you tools and links to tools that will assist you in making your projects successful.

Project management is the development and implementation of a detailed plan. There are several reasons to spend the time needed to develop a plan and adhere to it:

• Accountability to stakeholders
• Greater probability of success
• Provision of a road map to manage a project

To make your plan a reality, you may need financing. This section also lists possible funding sources, including information on the Rural Economic Development Program - a community development initiative.
